I’m suspicious that i have bed bugs in my apartment. Does the landlord pay for extermination in California?
We just moved into my apt in West Los Angeles a month ago. My two roommates and I live in a 2 BR apartment. In the past few weeks, we began to bite it in a group of 2-3. These bites will always appear in the morning when we wake up. My first instinct was to tell the owner. I did, and they blame it on me or my family and said we should pay for the extermination camps. We could not all be used in the apartment. Everything was new. We do not own any furniture or beds (except for a plastic table from Ikea). My roommates are really mad at me for telling the landlord. . . they are not convinced that they are bed bugs, but the telltale pattern of bites tells me they are. Do I pay for the eradication costs? She says no one ever complained about bed bugs in apartments, so it’s probably us who got in. I do not think it was appropriate at all.
